It's been quite a while since I've read it, but your discussion of story and different metaphors for knowledge/theology reminds me of Esther Meek's A Little Manual for Knowing. Thinking of knowledge as primarily relational has been a large shift for me, and getting married, experiencing migraines, and having a kid while being in relationship with God has been more transformative for my theology in the last few years than book knowledge I've "acquired."
i was directed by a question about my observational thoughts on 'unilateral dominance' in scholars who were men, and the bilateral brilliance evidenced in most women scholars I have known and interacted with, whether I had read McGilchrist's book Master and Emisarry, which was of course, reason to pick up a copy and as i started to read through it, was intrigued enough to purchase his tome and start through it as well. His writing has such depth, I could not proceed very effectively without finding others to discuss his thoughts with. Scholary work of such a nature requires some digestion, which often is aided by discussions with others who are curious to learn. It would be an interesting book to discuss (as would his larger work...). You have led such discussions in the past.. I'm one of your readers who would be interested in such a book discussion should you be interested in such exploration.
